Jakarta (29/08) -- Anggota Komisi III DPR RI dari Fraksi PKS Nasir Djamil menyoroti situasi Papua yang kembali memanas.
Ia menyarankan kepada pemerintahan Joko Widodo jilid II, agar dibentuk pos kementerian khusus menangani Indonesia bagian Timur.
"Harus ada upaya kembali agar salah satu kementerian di periode 2019-2024 itu ada kementerian yang mengurus Indonesia bagian timur, dulu ada Pak Manuel Kaisiepo yang mengurus Indonesia timur," katanya di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta, Kamis (29/8/2019).
Menurutnya, pemerintah tak boleh menganggap remeh persoalan Papua.
Terlebih, rusuh yang kembali terjadi di bumi Cendrawasih ini menimbulkan korban dari TNI.
"Karena itu saya katakan salah satunya adalah memikirkan kembali pos kementerian yang mengurus Indonesia Timur," pungkasnya.
Sebelumnya, Karopenmas Divisi Humas Polri Brigjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo mengkonfirmasi adanya enam anggota aparat keamanan yang menjadi korban kontak senjata di wilayah Deiyai, Papua, Rabu (28/8).
Dedi menyebut 1 anggota TNI Angkatan Darat gugur dalam kontak senjata tersebut. Sementara lima anggota Polri terluka akibat panah.
"1 anggota TNI AD gugur, ada tambahan 5 anggota Polri terluka (akibat) panah," ujar Dedi, di Hotel Mercure, Ancol, Jakarta Utara, Rabu (28/8/2019).
Ia menjelaskan awal mula kontak senjata terjadi akibat unjuk rasa yang dilakukan 150 orang untuk meminta bupati setempat menandatangani persetujuan referendum.
Saat itulah, tiba-tiba massa berjumlah ribuan datang dengan membawa senjata tajam dan menyerang aparat keamanan.
Sementara itu, terkait adanya korban dari masyarakat sipil, mantan Wakapolda Kalimantan Tengah itu mengaku berita tersebut belum dapat dikonfirmasi kebenarannya.
"Jadi informasi tersebut masih terus akan dicek oleh Polda Papua," ungkapnya.
