Dalam edaran tersebut untuk mengganti perayaan hari Valentine Day, Sekolah diminta untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pembentukan karakter, peningkatan keimanan dan ketaqwaan serta prestasi siswa di hari-hari menjelang Valentine seperti tanggl 12-13 Februari. Agar siswa bisa memahami bahwa Valentine bukanlah budaya yang baik ditiru mengingat perayaannya selalu identik dengan pergaulan bebas.
Menurut Ketua DPD PKS Blora, Santoso Budi Susetyo, perayaan valentine day tidak memiliki sejarah yang jelas dan cenderung mengarah pada hal-hal negatif.
“Dari pengalaman yang ada justru mengarah pada hal-hal yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai moral agama dan ketimuran,” kata dia, Rabu (10/2/2016).
Dia berharap, tidak hanya edaran terkait perayaan Valentine Day. Namun hal-hal lain yang bisa mendekatkan pada yang tidak baik, bisa disikapi dengan tindakan yang lebih kongkrit.
“ Karena Dindikpora merupakan penanggungjawab berhasil tidaknya kualitas pendidikan, khususnya dalam hal moralitas peserta didik,” Pungkasnya.
